Protect Dinner 2024, bigger and better

Raising awareness, raising funds, raising spirits

What a night! Thanks to all that were able to join us at the third Protect Dinner in support of Mental Health Month.

Photos are available for download here

This year we raised a whopping $21,000 for Satellite Foundation who do such fantastic work with children and young people who have a family member living with mental health challenges.

Mental Health Month is an opportunity to recognise the role mental health plays in our overall wellbeing. Please remember that Protect partners with both Hunterlink and ADA Australia to provide members a suite of free confidential services to support your wellbeing in the workplace and personal life.

Thank you's!

Thank you's!

Big thanks to Damien Power for the laughs, our presenters Wurundjeri man Daniel Ross, Youth Projects Richie Goonan and our own MC, Michael Connolly. Shout out also to the popular boys from OysterLux and the incredible service from the venue, Diagora Events - the food and drink service was awesome as always!

Finally, thanks for joining us, we hope to see you again next year.

This year's charity

100% of Protect Dinner ticket sales are donated to charity. This year we raised $21,000 for:

Satellite Foundation

A not-for-profit that connects and empowers children and young people who have a family member living with mental health challenges

"Thank you for the generation donation this Mental Health Month. We’re very excited to invest the funding back into amplifying voices and providing support and services for young people.

Funds raised will go towards supporting the continuation of our 'That’s Mental' video project. A series of short films by young people, for young people, expanding the reach and impact of this project to a much broader audience by:

- Increasing awareness of mental health challenges and individual stories of lived and living experiences

- Creating a shared understanding of lived and living experiences of family mental health challenges and unique circumstances, fostering empathy and compassion

- Reducing stigma around the conversation of mental health and starting important conversations in schools and the broader community"
